Ira K. Harris
Senior Pastor
My Story
Ira Kelley Harris is the third son of Pastor Bobby and Brenda Harris of Alabaster, Alabama. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at 9 years old during summer revival after hearing Dr. G.W.C. Richardson preach a sermon entitled “The Man In The Middle”. He has been serving the Lord Jesus Christ as a minister of the gospel for over 30 years. In the summer of 1992, Pastor Ira accepted his call to ministry traveling locally and nationally as an evangelist under the pastoral oversight of his father at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama and his grandfather Dr. B.E. McKinney of the Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Talladega, Alabama.

Pastor Ira served honorably in the United States Army for 8 years. He received his education from Birmingham Southern College, Birmingham, Alabama with a concentration in Political Science and Comparative Political Studies.

It is Pastor Harris’ desire to see every Christian discipled, equipped, trained, and deployed into their God given destiny. He firmly believes that the formation of Christ in the believer is central to this end. He is known as a wise master-builder bringing forth heavenly concepts, architectural blueprints, and patterns for this generation. Along with Lady Corliss they are known for their down-to-earth demeanor and their relational approach to building, as opposed to hierarchical rigidity, to see the kingdom of God advanced. They both labor within the sphere and jurisdiction assigned to them by Christ so that he might have his inheritance among the nations of the earth.

The Harris’ have been married for 27 years and reside in Hoover, Alabama.
